                      On the eve of conservation of nature the students of M.S.C Botany conducted a guest lecture on conservation of nature on 28 july 2019.

                       Poster presentation and essay writing  competitions were conducted and prizes were distributed to the students

             The students of First year & Second year  are participated in one day seminar of Orchids Organized by Government of A.P Greening  and Beautification Corporation at A.P Water Resources Department & Farmers Training Center accompained by Mr. K. Sankar the Head Of the Department and one of our faculty member Dr .Ch .Chinnappa on 27 January of 2019 . We had two resource persons on the day ,one is  Bala .Kompalli and the other one was Ramakrishna.

NATIONAL SEMINAR ON BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION: ISSUES & CHALLENGES

ONE DAY SEMINAR ON BIO DIVERSITY CONSERVATION ISSUES AND CHALLENGES 

            The T .Vijaya Durga, J. Bharathi of First year P.G Botany took part in one day seminar organised  by  Sir.C.R.Reddy college  Eluru , on 26th February on the topic "Biodiversity Conservation :Issues &Challenges" .The students took part in Paper Presentation on New Records on Wood Decaying Fungi in Central Eastern Ghats of Andhra pradesh,India

VRUKSHA- 2K19

VRUKSHA 2K19 was conducted on 4th February 2019 by our PG,BOTANY Department.
The Programme began with a prayer song, followed by lightening of the lamp by our Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Rex Angelo, the HOD of the Botany Department, Mr.K.Sankar and one student representative from the various colleges gathered over there. The Programme was inaugurated by the words of blessing from Rev.Fr. Dr. Rex Angelo

Students from 12 colleges, numbering 252 participated in this programme. Two eminent personality gave a guest lecture each. The first guest lecture was on "Biologically screening of Drugs using disease animal models" by Dr. Siva Reddy Challa, Prof&HOD,Dept Of Pharmacology, KVSR Siddhartha college of Pharmaceutical Sciences.He was Felicitated by Rev.Fr. Dr. Rex Angelo.

The second guest lecture was on the role of HERBAL MEDICINES IN HUMAN HEALTH CARE by Dr. K. Madhava Chetty,Assist. Professor, Dept of Botany, College of Science,S.V. University.

He was Felicitated by Rev.Fr. Dr. Rex Angelo.

Several competitions were conducted for the students .The program ended with the Valedictory function where prizes were distributed to the students.
